Whoever said that stately wedding feasts can only involve porcelain studded tablescapes? This wonderful mansion wedding in Rhodes Island, Greece captured by TOMAS DOLESJI, not only married two different cultures but also several elements, both native and widely spread, to create a statement celebration thanks to the talents of GOLDEN APPLE WEDDINGS. Tomas tells us, “These truly inspired wedding designers’ vision began with the wedlock of two different nationalities, that of a French groom with his half-Lebanese, half-Rhodian bride-to-be and created an inspiration that would draw from both sides. The elegant villa on the hills of Rhodes island, DON MANSION, overlooking the entire island was the perfect place. Studded with palm trees, freshly manicured lawns, a helipad, gardens for days and of course a luxurious pool, it was the ideal canvas for Katerina and Katia to draw upon. To begin they decked out the coolest pergola to create a welcome feast for the guests, laden with all Mediterranean-Rhodian accents, colourful ceramics, bold blooms and local treats.
The wedding edit took place in the afternoon. The design team styled the circular ceremony in the garden with bold coloured furnishings to contrast with the white villa aesthetics in the background and florals in more clean and exotic tones. Bold red anthuriums and pale pink moths of Phalaenopsis set the romantic tone, set on the base of the couple’s arch and framing the circle’s top. PAVLOV’S LAB brought the pretty with a butterscotch tiered cake which was set by the naturally grown shrubs while cocktails were served poolside created by the talented teams of DECENT BAR. The dinner was set intimately in Rhodian ceramics from Nassos and elegant linen from ALLEGORIA, chic candelabras and contrasting tones of pink and teal, matching the hues of the crepuscule hour. The bride wore a custom-made gown by MADEBRIDE and HEART OF GOLD designs headpiece while the groom’s details and styling was all about timeless classics and gent sartoria.”
